Bedrooms

• Strip used bed linen and replace with fresh linen

• Make beds neatly

• Dust and wipe accessible surfaces

• Dust bedside tables, lamps and furniture

• Clean mirrors

• Empty bins

• Vacuum floors, including around and under accessible furniture

• Mop hard floors where applicable

• Check for cobwebs

• Check the room is tidy and guest-ready

Bathrooms & Toilets

• Clean and disinfect toilet, including seat and exterior

• Clean bath, shower and shower screen

• Clean sink, taps and surrounding surfaces

• Wipe bathroom furniture and accessible surfaces

• Clean mirrors

• Remove visible hair

• Empty bins

• Vacuum/sweep and mop floors

• Check toiletries and toilet roll levels if included

• Check for cobwebs

• Leave the bathroom fresh and presentable

Kitchen

• Clean and disinfect worktops

• Clean sink and taps

• Wipe cupboard and drawer fronts

• Clean hob

• Wipe the outside of appliances

• Clean microwave inside and outside

• Wipe dining table and chairs

• Empty bins and replace liners

• Vacuum/sweep floor

• Mop floor

• Check that crockery, glasses and utensils are clean and neatly put away

• Check for food left behind by previous guests

Standard cleaning does not include: oven cleaning, cleaning inside cupboards, fridge deep cleaning, or removing heavy grease and built-up grime.

Living Room

• Dust and wipe accessible surfaces

• Dust furniture, lamps and ornaments

• Clean mirrors and glass surfaces

• Vacuum sofas and chairs where appropriate

• Vacuum carpets and floors

• Mop hard floors

• Empty bins

• Check for cobwebs

• Straighten cushions and furnishings

• Make sure the room is tidy and welcoming

Hallways & Entrance

• Dust and wipe accessible surfaces

• Clean mirrors

• Vacuum carpets and stairs

• Sweep and mop hard floors

• Empty any bins

• Remove cobwebs

• Clean visible marks from doors where possible

• Make sure the entrance is clean and welcoming

Utility/Laundry Area

• Wipe accessible surfaces

• Wipe the outside of washing machine/tumble dryer

• Clean sink if present

• Empty bins

• Vacuum/sweep and mop floor

• Check that laundry is left tidy

Final Guest-Ready Check

• Remove all rubbish

• Check for items left behind by guests

• Check lights and obvious fixtures

• Make sure beds are made neatly

• Make sure towels are clean and presented neatly

• Check that all rooms are tidy

• Do a final visual check of the whole property

Deep cleaning can then be offered separately for tasks such as oven cleaning, inside appliances, inside cupboards, detailed skirting-board cleaning, heavy limescale, stubborn grease and other build-up.
